Founded by James Pickering, an honours graduate of the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone, Kent, the practice operates in Goudhurst in West Kent – employing well-qualified, registered osteopaths.
James himself trained in osteopathy and osteopathic medicine.
An osteopath is a primary healthcare practitioner, required by law to be fully qualified and registered in order to practice and to use the title ‘osteopath’.
Our job is to remove any obstacles to good health and encourage the body to heal itself. We believe that, given the right circumstances, the body has a natural tendency towards good health.
We use our hands to correct imbalances and steer the patient towards ideal health. With a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology, we examine and treat patients holistically, while looking for their problem’s root cause.
We treat the person, not the symptoms. Every treatment is tailored to the needs of the individual patient, using a variety of techniques, including cranial osteopathy.
I have seen quite a few osteopaths over the last few years, and although they have helped, I feel none of them have made such a difference as James has.
